Yoga Education for Schools’ founder Eva Rosenkranz has been
practicing yoga for over 30 years. A former competitive
athlete, Eva recognized the power of yoga to simultaneously
relax, recharge, build strength, create flexibility, and
respect one’s body as benefits never fully received from the
sports she played. When Eva became an educator herself, she
quickly realized that yoga and formal education could merge
as a unified discipline and become a natural yet highly
effective tool in the classroom.
Eva holds teaching certifications with
Yoga
Alliance and is also certified by
Yoga Ed. to teach the
Yoga Tools for Teachers workshops, as well as Yoga Ed.’s
curriculum for children in Kindergarten through 8th grades.
The Radiant Child training gave her particular insight for
teaching yoga to children 3-6 years old.
Ms. Rosenkranz is also certified in the discipline of
Reiki, a Japanese
technique for balancing energy. This natural
and simple practice promotes relaxation and healing, as well
as helping to reduce stress and pain.
A true child’s advocate, Eva is highly sensitive to an
individual child’s needs and learning differences. She is
dedicated to helping children learn to self-monitor their
behavior thus making learning easier and more enjoyable. On a daily basis she experiences the benefits that
yoga has on children as well as teachers.
“The Yoga Ed. programs that we teach are truly
inspirational,” says Eva. “They are fun, easy to learn and
apply, create a sense of well-being, and benefit teachers
and students alike.”
